The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia is a leading international institution focused on Sustainable Catalysis, Renewable Energy and Health. The role involves research design, supervision, safety coordination and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliCo‑supervise the experimental work of Master and PhD students and provide scientific and technical support to research group members. /liliWrite reports, scientific publications and assist in proofreading manuscripts and project proposals. /liliMaintain and operate laboratory equipment; train group members in techniques and instrumentation. /liliPurchase chemicals, consumables and equipment, contact commercial distributors and manage orders. /liliPresent research results at congresses and scientific events. /liliAct as Safety Coordinator, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting good laboratory practices, correct use of PPE and safe handling and disposal of chemical waste. /liliUpdate and maintain the chemical inventory, scientific equipment and drug precursor records to ensure regulatory compliance. /liliServe as liaison between research groups and ICIQ support areas (Projects, Finance, Purchases, IT, HR, Travel, SHEQ, Maintenance) coordinating administrative and operational activities. /liliParticipate in the design and experimental support of research projects, assisting with technical equipment use. /liliManage the group’s agenda, internal laboratory incidents and the organization of work areas for group members. /liliCoordinate emergency evacuations with the SHEQ Unit and actively participate in ICIQ’s Safety and Health Committee. /liliRepresent the principal investigator at internal institute meetings and communications. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliPhD in Chemistry or a related field. /liliDemonstrated leadership in the development of research projects. /liliHigh technical abilities within a chemistry laboratory. /liliExcellent command of English (written and oral). /liliTeam‑oriented, decisive, creative and problem‑solving skills. /liliStrong commitment to scientific research in a competitive environment. /liliReliability in meeting commitments and deadlines; effective organizational and communication skills. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulliPermanent full‑time contract. /liliInternational and dynamic multidisciplinary environment. /liliRemuneration in accordance with the Institute’s salary policy (PICC) ranging from €32,960 to €43,260 gross per year, subject to the criteria for each level. /liliAnnual salary split in twelve monthly payments. /liliFlexible 37.5‑hour working week. /liliHybrid work policy. /liliImmediate incorporation. /li /ulh3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3pICIQ follows a gender equality opportunity policy and a non‑discrimination policy on the basis of age, ethnicity or social origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, language and disability.
