ppWe are looking for a bPostdoctoral researcher in fruit pathology /b to join theb Postharvest /b bProgram /b team, based in bLleida (Fruitcentre) /b. We offer the opportunity to be part of an organization with a dynamic, collaborative work environment focused on professional development. /p pThe Postharvest Program aims to improve the quality of fruits and vegetables throughout the postharvest chain by developing innovative and sustainable strategies to control diseases, physiological disorders, and quality losses during storage. /p h3Tasks and Responsibilities /h3 ul liTo perform research activities for the designated projects (national and/or international) and for contractual research with private companies in topics related to fruit pathology. /li liTo be up to date with the state of the art research on the related topic as well as to transfer results and knowledge to stakeholders and end-users. /li liTo contribute to positioning the Postharvest Program as a group of excellence through regular peer‑reviewed publications, contributions at national and international congresses and supervision of PhD and researchers. /li liTo work in close collaboration with other IRTA researchers, as well as with external academic, institutional, and industrial partners. /li /ul h3Required qualifications and experience /h3 ul liBSc in Biology, Agronomy or related field with a PhD in Plant and/or Postharvest Pathology. /li liProven experience in fruit pathology and a relevant record of peer‑reviewed scientific publications in this field. /li liProven experience in epidemiology and control of diseases. /li liProficiency in English, both spoken and written. /li liStrong teamwork skills, ability to adapt to multidisciplinary environments and a focus on professional growth and development. /li liProven experience in project management, with good organizational and coordination skills. /li liFull driving license for Europe and travelling availability. /li liExperience in pome and stone fruits will be valued. /li liCatalan and Spanish will be valued. /li li2‑years Postdoctoral experience and achievements in similar fields will be evaluated. /li liAbility to establish and build good relationships within and outside the institution that will allow pursuing the objectives of the RD activities and the Program’s strategic research goals. /li liWillingness to organise, share information and suggest improvements. /li liFlexibility and adaptation. /li liMotivated and willing to take on new challenges. /li /ul h3Advantages of joining our team /h3 ul liContract: postdoctoral temporary full‑time contract for 3 years /li liSalary: 35.100,62€ gross per year /li li37.5 hour workweek, with Friday afternoons off /li liIntensive work schedule from 15/06 to 15/09 /li li3 days of family work conciliation /li li45 hours of personal days /li liFlexible Schedule for a good work‑life balance. /li liContinuous training and professional growth opportunities. /li /ul pPlease know that if you are the chosen candidate and you are from a country which does not belong to the UE, IRTA’s People Department will support you to get the residence and working permits. /p h3Instructions to Apply /h3 pIf you wish to be considered for this position and believe you meet the requirements, please submit your application through the form available at the bottom of this page. /p pEqual treatment and equal opportunities are guaranteed for all candidates in the selection process, avoiding stereotypes, bias or barriers linked to gender, sexual orientation, origin, age, ideology, or any other potentially discriminatory condition.
