ph3Purpose of the Role /h3 pThe Senior Accountant provides high-level accounting support within the GBS organization, acting as a key reference point for complex topics and supporting the wider accounting team. This role requires experience in IFRS, internal controls, and advanced reconciliation, including intercompany and fixed assets, within GBS or shared services environments. /p ul liSupervises, guides, and supports a small team of 3-4 Accountants, ensuring quality of work, task prioritization, and day-to-day operational support. /li liMaintains and reviews general ledger entries, performs advanced balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany and fixed assets, ensuring IFRS compliance. /li liOwns and manages reconciliation processes ensuring proper documentation for audit readiness at all times. /li liDrives timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, working effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. /li liIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves complex accounting discrepancies, escalating risks or deviations proactively to the Team Leader. /li liSupports internal and external audits, providing accurate documentation and clear responses to audit queries. /li liMonitors compliance with internal controls and IFRS standards, identifying gaps and proposing improvements. /li liPromotes knowledge sharing and best practices within the team, identifying process improvement and automation opportunities. /li /ul h3Qualifications Skills /h3 ul liUniversity degree in Accounting or Finance /li liMinimum 10 years of experience as Senior Accountant in a GBS, BSSC, or international corporate environment. /li liExperience in internal controls and Blackline or similar tool is a plus. /li liAvailability to travel bapproximately 20% /b when required (HQ in Germany/Switzerland). /li liValid driving license and own vehicle. /li liStrong analytical mindset and high attention to detail. /li liLeadership and ability to guide and develop junior team members. /li liResilience and ability to perform under pressure during closing cycles. /li liProactive, autonomous, and continuous improvement oriented. /li liStrong communication skills and comfortable in multicultural environments. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
