Juju is currently used by our clients, partners, and the community to orchestrate both small and enterprise-scale infrastructure and application deployments across a variety of substrates. /ppThis role is responsible for the commercial strategy and marketing leadership of one of our cloud native operations product areas, including: /pulliJuju - the open source orchestration engine for software operators that enables the deployment, integration and lifecycle management of applications at any scale, on any infrastructure using charms /liliIdentity management - defining the way authentication, authorisation and identity governance controls are applied across Ubuntu One SSO and other Canonical products /liliObservability - outlining the strategy for the way Canonical products and charms perform tracing and discern the underlying system health /li /ulpLocation: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region. You will be expected to be based in this region. /ppThis role entails /pulliLead the lifecycle of the product development by reviewing the priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for. /liliWork closely with the engineering leads to oversee the product development process /liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales to address common challenges across projects, to align on priorities, to make informed decisions, and to keep business execution on track /liliConduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and to ensure alignment with Canonical''s overall vision /liliDevelop your team through coaching, mentoring and training /liliEstablish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate them across Canonical /liliDrive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement /liliContribute to the development of strategies to create and maintain high performing teams /liliContribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings /li /ulpWhat we are looking for in you /pulliSeasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and/or the management of open source software in the cloud native landscape /liliExperience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems /liliGood understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker containers /liliComprehensive knowledge of the common enterprise security and compliance requirements in the area of software operations /liliProven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence /liliPassion to write about technologies and experience in the area of developer marketing /liliA strong work ethic, and personal interests aligned with the open source philosophy /liliExcellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written /liliWillingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events /li /ulpNice-to-have skills /pulliExperience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems is a plus /liliDemonstrate an insatiable intellectual curiosity, and be passionate about the future of technology /liliHave a strong sense of ownership.
